I definitely like having endurance on weapons so that you have to get them repaired after so much use. One possibility would be to have the weapon give diminishing returns based on its condition. For example:
75-100% endurance = regular damage 50-75% endurance = dull; -10% damage 25-50% endurance = chipped; -20% damage 1-25% endurance = cracked; -50% damage 0 endurance = broken
This would make manufacturing more appealing (given that we include the capability to repair weapons/armors with smithing).

Meaning not able to have weapons repaired at a "blacksmith" in town; or just having the added convenience of being able to repair your own items?
To add to that, maybe have "Manufacturing/Blacksmithing" more appealing by giving them the ability to repair to ~110% Endurance = "Polished"; +5% Damage ??

This would make me want to manu on my main, as well as have a guild manu for higher % weapons for the added bonus.

Heat, if I remember correctly you played warrior right?
Well you know the lack of balancing that existed. These issues would work against the mages also.
Its all just ideas, I would love to hear yours!!

The polished damage thing , maybe , the original idea of less damage , no thanks. We want people dead. What do you think about certain weapons being dropped as dull or cracked? For instance, a cracked rep4 great sword would do ~50% less damage until you take it to get repaired from a blacksmith.

Its all just ideas, I would love to hear yours!! Lol , yah mate. I love warrior ;D Balancing issues .... ummm .... I mean at the start of every fresh server , groups of mages wreck due to no mr or protection (other than PFM) from blizz. Personally I love this coz you have to put effort into the pvp again , but as most helbreath servers go into the latter stages , mages become free eks and just dash-practice ..... im not good at ideas but maybe much less protection from everything , maybe make the elemental stuff you mentioned in threads apply and wars have to switch gear (also more elememtal spells for mages) , so wars have to switch gear imstead of just sitting in MR , with the rare instance of slapping hp gear on , if you make a miss-step. and of course , delete DK armour

Thats cool and all but it takes 10 seconds for a recall > blaclsmith > repair ;X
