Over the past few years, the website has really been lacking. If we want to get new players, we need to have an appealing and functioning website! Some things that need to be included (others please add to this list). - Awesome home page! This is the first thing that people will see. It should include recent news about the server and some sweet graphics.
- Downloads page (fast download option)
- Forums (this )
- Top Lists (EKs, Levels, guilds, recent EK's etc.)
- Events calendar
- Auction House maybe?
- "Vote for Us" type links (offer incentives for daily votes)
- Contact Us (Any emails submitted through the "Contact Us" link should be sent to MULTIPLE people. This is just good business etiquette so that if one person isn't checking emails, someone else can step in. This also stops many "he said, she said" situations.
- Screen Shots/Videos/etc.
- Guides for everything (and I mean everything). This could start with a wiki-type page maybe?
- Char Simulator
- Mob List with mob stats, drop lists, where to find, etc.
- Weapons & Armors list with stats & what mobs drop what
- Events
- Maps
- Skills
- Spells
- Rules
- Suggested Builds
- BEGINNER'S GUIDE

Parts of this is already in the works :-p
Wiki's are very very hard to maintain, and likely would be worked on after the launch of the game, and though we am not against hosting a wiki, I don't know that we would want our initial team living inside of it. (I maintain and have maintained a number of these for NESL, League, Eve, and other games and communities I have lead and worked for, time consuming is not accurate enough >< We would not be at all against giving the reigns to a select few community members to maintain though.
The reason this has lacked in the past was because Sam (Hawk) worked hand in hand with us with HBPortal, by far the best resource site around for a long time, and helped a lot with tools within the game itself. I believe this was not something iEntertainment had a need for, because we worked and functioned a lot of Helbreath's community sided things through him and his sites and forums.
However, that was the past, and the website is very very much on our to-do list, but will continue to be lacking until after launch. (Hiring a webdesign team vs working on the game :-p) If our goals and stretch goals are exceeded than this could very easily change. We are currently trying to not take on more than we can process right now. Doing things the right way, isn't always the quickest!
As always, thanks for the support Drogo!!
