I enjoyed fishing and selling the fish for much needed gold. It was a skill that was worth something.
I hated that Zems were rare or uncommon. An item thats some purpose is to protect your items should be readily available. Fishing helped buying them.
I enjoyed making potions, hated leveling the skill beyond 50%, it was ridiculous. I always wished for more variety in potions to make the skill worthwhile having.
I liked logging in and talking with friends. Messing around in maps and feeling like what we were doing was a challenge. Mages had to cast spells, not tank. Warriors were either taking damage or dealing it.
I miss the feeling of having a unique armor or knowing that my armor set was better (higher manu or higher stay in total) than the average player.
I miss getting stuck in the warehouse because too many people were there and being scared to walk out Incase it was raid day.
I've always wanted to add in "tree specialities", giving people another reason to continue leveling beyond 180. Different elements in magic added different effects to spells. Different weapons added bonus damage and it reach. Different armor types to add more defense. - Etc.
I miss exploring new places. Getting lost in the dungeons. Standing in SW shooting ES in a party over the ledge with other mages and a warrior protecting the ridge.

Someone mentioned the Crafting/Gathering in a previous post. I agree it needs love. Gold I believe should be a much more important commodity, more items worth buying perhaps, in different tiers while leveling to make different str goals, not the only goal.
Zems are a very touchy thing, I was discussing this the other night. They are almost in a way, the backbone of the game. I almost want to look at doing more with them, perhaps having who drops them tied to the zem and able to turn it for a bounty (again, to make gold). Also, making them too hard to obtain, ruins the idea, and making them too hard to obtain... cripples people. Another thought has been making them craftable (not easy) and maybe crafted zems being 5/5 or so, and maybe even having 1/1 zems sold by a wandering vender of sorts, for a large amount of gold (again, trying to make gold viable) and zems.
As for the social aspects, perhaps a more (and by more I mean existing) guild/clan interface? I really do miss being in a waiting list for 190%+ items from Dark~Angel back in Phoenix! haha I would like to see Manu play a role in beginning and end game playing thought. Open to ideas on this!
As for being stuck in WH.. hopefully that will be the easiest thing we have ahead to accomplish! =)
The tree specialties is an interesting idea. Being able to focus tiers of spells for mages, and maybe types of weapons for warriors, to give a end game goal perhaps once you hit max level (outside killing everything in sight obviously)
HB was always a large game, the problem was, nobody ventured past the obvious places, another thing that was adjusted as playerbase fell off. This will be another interesting thing to approach in terms of map sizes and dungeons obviously you want players to run into each other but you also want them to go everywhere possible.
Love the ideas! Keep them coming! None of my reply is anything set in stone, just continuing conversation, and bouncing ideas!

Ppl started leaving because ient stopped. Their was no customer support. When emily was in charge, the customer support was by far more on point than with the person who ran it before. If the customer support comes back, it will help. But their may need to be more to bring ppl back. I believe the player base now is about 2 ppl? If that. I realize the sade last night had 4 elv vs 4 ares. It was an even battle until one of the ares Mage left die to it being even I'm looking forward to this direction this game is going. Tell us Goosy, what roll is it you have in all this?

Keep in mind, the people you are referring too, were the face of "iEnt", and were in charge of the customer support. I don't know what all is public knowledge, and I also don't want to dwell on the past, so I will leave that there. Eyes forward =)
There is a number of people with mixed emotions, we will do our best to bring everyone around. I personally have a friend that started playing after he saw me share it on facebook, and is "addicted". I believe Helbreath can still pull a player base, there is still no game like it, and with a relaunch with a newer, updated game with the ability to do more at any given time, I think we can pull more new players, not just the old. This is a project nobody will be able to compete with. No limitations, no restrictions. All we need is support from you guys. Thank you for yours!
The sade last night was alot of fun, I got kicked around and got a few good shots!
My role here is to help bring you guys the game you want to play and support it to the best of my ability along side my the rest of the team. Titles don't interest me. =) I am just more vocal because I have more time to be, and am more accustomed to it, (I have learned a lot after my last stay with iEnt, while working with other companies and projects)and I am also overall curious about the community and where it is now, and excited to get back in to it. =)

I realize the sade last night had 4 elv vs 4 ares. It was an even battle until one of the ares Mage left die to it being even I never died. I left because my dinner was ready, and I have a child who also likes to eat dinner (imagine that). I have no problem 1v1 you, and whoever wants to record it can. Sorry I left, because apparently it made quite the impact. Sheesh.
Goose want to record it? Let me know and we can agree on a time.
And no activations.

I would also like to point out that people were leaving before "ient stopped". Whole guilds quit because of decisions made in game regarding rules, items, spells, mobs, etc. I am very excited for a fresh start for this game, and customer service is only a fraction of why it's needed. The game is a mess atm, and part of it is BC it was left a mess. For a long time, there weren't even any posted rules and things were dealt with differently for each person. I am hoping the next administration is FAIR. Fair decisions helping to balance, not *delete* to balance. Decisions made for what's right for the game, not what's right for friends.

Simply put , i expletive deleteding love Helbreath. <<<<-(sup with the curse filter lol)
I wish there was a permanent server heavily populated , like the old days of USA.
I left USA because IENT was a useless piece of s***. Also, the obvious item selling just made the server in-valid to me.

I appreciate you opinion, and I am sorry there were people that left that taste in your mouth. Hopefully we can prove different with this project.
note: Editing the word the filter missed. Try to tone it down a bit, I understand your frustration though.

All good , im intrested to see what this 'project' will become It wasn't you running things G00Se , but I do remember you being seriously geared ..... which in the old days of USA was not really possible , correct me if I'm wrong , it was about 7 years ago I think. Not to bitter about it , i just found other servers to play , was just a shame my main server , fell to pieces how it did. Id kill to go back to the days of 100 vs 100 fights over a HC in ML , everyone in blacksmith gear !

I also think that having "soul bound" items for higher teir is a good direction for the game. Prevents item sharing / whoring. Means an item can be a little more common to get as a drop because it's bound to the person that picks it up. Some, not all.
I'm really keen on collecting things too, if there was a way to level from just that, I'd do it where possible. Warcraft has a great selection of collection skills and I'm loving the garrison, it's something I've wanted for years. But I also think that it could be expanded further with more customization. I don't like mining so much, love picking flowers. If there was some way to kind of "FarmVille" it all, where you're givien the land, access to plots, buildings and or shafts and you build it up as you want, including paths and decorations.
I love dressing my characters and making them look pretty. One of my biggest dislikes about Helbreath currently is the lack of customization in not only armor and weapons but overall look of the character.
